Notes from author
Originally a 120 Faith/Dex hybrid.
after awhile I became bored with using dexterity weapons so i started to modify it until it is what it is now.
To some 221 might seem a bit high, but let me explain. When invading as a Blade of the Darkmoon, the invasions come off of sin, not necessarily level. By being 221, i can invade lower level players as well as high levels. I have killed, on many occasions, players i found were 712. as well as players who were between 70 and 130. None of my stats are gouged very high, with endurance being the worst, so even when fighting lower level players things remain interesting.
I've found lots of fun playing as Petrus. The mace and Morning star weapons are quite good at stunlocking. And with an A scaling in Str the Mace is a great weapon to use for Str builds who aren't looking to use massive weapons. The perks of using a mace over say a giant club or the grant is how fast it can swing. The moveset is nothing fancy, but you can swing fairly quickly and often times when being ganked, the two handed R1 will usually hit the player behind me before it hits whoever is in front of me. I only really use the morning star when bleed is required, or if i wanna do a 'true' petrus look, as the morning star is sweet looking.
The general process when invading is to locate the host and usually his or her phantoms, buff with DMB and GMB, and take them out. Now this will usually trigger most Int builds to play keep away or straight up run away. this can be annoying and sometimes instead of chasing them i will risk not using GMB and instead use TWOP, especially if they are fast rolling or DWGRinging. TWOP also works especially well against gankers who use TWOP themselves.
Usually they will run away until they see GMB is gone as well as DMB. When this happens, try to lure them back to fighting you, and when you get the chance, buff with sunlight blade and either another GMB or TWOP. Note that buffing is not necessary, but ideal against gankers.
