Notes from author
Here I created a Gandalf-esque build. I chose aesthetic armour which I believe matches his wizard status, although I might change the hit to Big hat once I can compare the aesthetics in game. I tried to minimise endurance whilst allowing me to fast roll with this equipment set.
RoFaP is a must to allow fast rolls and provides a nice hp bonus, considering our medium vit for PvP at 120. Wolf ring seems necessary for poise although you could play more risky and go with bellowing/lingering dragoncrest ring if desired.
I chose to go with the Sks, as it seemed to have the closest fitting aesthetic to Gandalf's sword (Glamdring) and I like it's moveset. Hence this is build is primarily based off of buffs to maximise the SkS damage. Beatrice's staff seems to match Gandalf's Oak staff the best.
The only unsure part is the spells and this impacts how you should split faith/int. Currently I decided to have a higher int and have the minimum faith I could to allow casting of WoG amongst other useful PvP miracles. I chose Velka's talisman for this reason to scale off of my higher intellect. If I deem this miracles unworthy I might try dropping Faith and raising Int/dex/vit if necessary. Lightning miracles are justified as Gandalf is apparently quoted as calling down lightning in the original books. Last two slots are down to choice but I chose pursuers just as a PvP standard due to their potency.
The Black bow of Pharis is a guilty pleasure and for its weight deals out a fair amount of damage. If you wish to truly stick to Gandalf's RP you should remove it but I'm not sure what else I would replace it with.
I'm still improving this build so any comments would be useful, please post them here:<a href="http://en.reddit.com/r/darksouls/comments/1eipnz/whats_your_favourite_cosplaynovelty_build/<br" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">en.reddit.com/r/darksouls/comments/1eipnz...</a> />
