Notes from author
Change the weapons to whatever you wanna use. Highly recommend weapons with good dex scaling. The reason we level Int and Fth is because some weapons require them. Also you can use spices to lower utility spells. Great Heal is probably the best one to lower first because you can't drink estus as a red/blue phantom and sometimes you just need to deal up in an invasion. Sacred oath is my go to second utility spell of choice because it boosts your AR and defenses. Other really good choices are Walk of Peace, any of the HoT miracles, and Great Magic Barrier. Buckler should always be on your bar. It is the best parry tool in Ds2. If you are not great at parrying yet, the Defender's shield has some really good defenses and has low weight with some great stability. Pair it with a spear for maximum effect. RoB+2 is in the throne room once you ascetic the first Drangleic Castle bonfire. You have to kill 2 pursuers in order to get it. It's the main ring you need on this build and pretty much any melee build. Flynn's ring is in that room full of corrosive bugs near the first Bonfire in the second location in the Sunken King dlc. It's also a staple to your build as it still works at 75% power even with 69.99% carryweight. Third Dragoncrest ring can be found at the place you meet the Ancient Dragon. There's a ledge you drop down after killing the greatsword guard and it'll lead you to a room with a halberd shield guard. Go up the stairs behind one of those dragon warriors and you'll get invaded. The ring should be in a chest nearby. The other ring can be whatever you want it to be, really. I suggest leo ring if you're a thrust weapon guy.
