Notes from Author
The Bloodshades are a player-run covenant idea i have, where we essentially invade the area after Pontiff together with bleed-focused builds. If two Bloodshades go after a single host (or phantom) together, the bleed build-up would be infuriating for them to deal with.
Requirements to join:
Name: "Bloodshade _____"
SL 140-145 Bleed-focused Build
Undead Legion Armor Chest
Obscuring Ring
Any system can take part!
SL 140 will let us invade SL 126 at minimum, bypassing most fight clubs and opening up Pontiff for primarily gank hunting. Any lower, and we'd be invading meta fight clubs, which not only is the opposite of what we're wanting, but isn't fair to 120-125 duelists.
40 Endurance w/ FAP may be overkill, but it'll guarantee that i can outrun any gankers, making use of the Obscuring Ring whenever necessary.
The plan is to not just stand and fight them head-up the entire time, but to wear them out, rushing in and wasting their Estus, while sticking around for team fights w/ other invaders.
The Scythe/Morning Star combo should prove useful for managing my bleed bar (which should be pretty big regardless), since the Scythe does bleed damage to myself. I also plan to use the Morning Star when an opponent is point-blank on me, switching to the Scythe when they distance themselves, considering that the Scythe has direct hit damage to factor in.
The Barbed Straight Sword is for if i want to mix the playstyle up, while playing a bit more cautious. The weapon art guard break will also be useful against medium shield gankers.
When it comes to the Knight Slayer Ring, i plan to be fairly aggressive with this build, in order to make use of the bleed. I figure that considering how many gankers turtle with medium shields, tearing into their stamina a bit more could result in even more guard breaks.
Dark Hand is obviously going to be primarily for fashion, but i plan to block with it when not dodging/attacking, just in case of a surprise hit.
